The neurodiversity movement maintains that autism is a natural variation and should not be cured, an idea which greatly angers many parent advocates and scientists [6]. At some levels, the two sides of the debate may be irreconcilable. However, I believe that a great deal of the neurodiversity argument has been misunderstood.
